Frequently asked questions
How does laser hair removal work?
The DPC (Dynamic Pulse Control) is the most modern hair removal method. Like previous laser hair removal methods it is a light based technology which works with selective photothermolysis. The laser beam is attracted by the darker pigments, so they can distinguish the hair from skin.
What is IPL-DCP technology?
IPL-DPC technology is a more modern, more effective and safer version of the previously known IPL technology. Like its predecessor DCP also transforms light energy into heat energy which stops hair growth by getting into the hair follicle.
How safe is laser hair removal?
Over the years it has been proven that laser hair removal is of exceptionally low risk and is not recommended only in case of extremely sensitive skin types and skin surfaces. Before treatment we make sure if the treatment is recommended or not by examining the skin surface to be treated quickly.
How painful is the treatment?
The DPC (Dynamic Pulse Control) laser hair removal is completely painless. This is primarily due to the unique TEC (Thermo Electric Contact Cooling) system which offers not only painless application but maximal safety. As a result no special anaesthesia is required.
How many treatments are needed?
The amount of the treatments depends on the size of the area to be treated. The speed of hair growth differs on the body parts; therefore the number of treatments is greatly influenced by it. Generally 6-8 treatments are expected that occur every 4-6 weeks with the exception of summer and sunny periods.
How often do you need to repeat the treatments?
Repetition of treatments is determined by the colour and strength of the hair. During consultation and personal health check our colleague will be able to provide you with the exact answer.
How long does the treatment take?
The length of the treatment depends on the size of the area to be treated. Hair removal on smaller areas e.g. eyebrows takes only a few minutes, but a bigger surface e.g. the back can take significantly more time.
What is the usual recovery time after treatment?
Due to the modern technology, there is actually no real recovery time so you can either go back to work right away or even do sports. However in the interest of efficiency it is recommended to avoid sunbathing and solarium.
Do I need any special cosmetic care product after treatment?
One of the DPC (Dynamic Pulse Control) technology’s advantages is that you don’t need any special cosmetic care product.
